How do I know my sitter is trustworthy?
Every sitter passes a 6-step approval process: ID verification, criminal background check, sex-offender registry check, video interview, pet first-aid course, and ongoing performance review. Sitters below 4.7★ are removed from the platform. See the full process →
Can I tip my sitter?
Yes! After a completed booking, you'll see a "Tip" option in your dashboard. 100% of the tip goes to your sitter — Pawter doesn't take a cut.
How do I become a Pawter sitter?
Start your application at our sitter page. The application takes about 8 minutes. Most applicants are approved within 3 days.
What's the cancellation policy for sitters?
Sitters may cancel up to 12 hours before a booking with no penalty. Repeated late cancellations affect your sitter rating and may result in deactivation.
How do I add a new pet?
In your dashboard, find the "My pets" panel and tap "Add a pet". You'll be asked for their name, type, age, breed, and any health notes. You can attach photos too — sitters love seeing who they'll be caring for.
